Reviewing the Reviews
A series of posts in response to reviews of “Rewriting Hisstory.”
The following posts take advantage of the Web’s unique ability to provide a writer with an open and flexible space to respond quickly and thoroughly to criticism and in this case, “commentary.” The non-linear format also affords me the freedom to address issues when and how I see fit to do so, without the fretting over space and deadlines which tend to shorten the lives of even the most prolific journalists. Click on the titles to be taken to the response.
* “Sherlock Holmes and the Hiss Case” by Peter H. Irons, how a pair of barky dogs helped prove Hiss’s innocence, plus some comments on two hostile reviews by Harvey Klehr and David Chambers.
* “Last Soldier Standing” by David Chambers, Washington Examiner
